About
QuantrolOx is an Oxford University spin-out, founded in 2020 in Oxford, UK, that builds AI and machine learning automation software for quantum computer control systems. Its flagship product, Quantum Edge, uses Bayesian optimization to automate the tuning, stabilization, and optimization of qubits across all major quantum hardware platforms. It reduces resonator and qubit spectroscopy from hours to seconds and lets one expert manage multiple quantum computers, rather than the 3-4 experts otherwise needed for 10 qubits. The company raised £1.4 million in seed funding in 2022 from Hoxton Ventures and Nielsen Ventures, along with €10.5M from the European Innovation Council the same year. Its partners include QuantWare, with a 17-qubit error correction dev kit integration, Zurich Instruments, with QCCS integration, and Qblox, with Quantum Edge automation.
