About
Oxford Quantum Circuits (OQC) is a UK quantum computing company, based in Oxford, that builds superconducting processors using its Coaxmon and Dimon dual-rail qubit architectures. Its GENESIS system uses the dual-rail Dimon qubit architecture to reduce error-correction overhead and has achieved two-qubit gate fidelity of 99.8% at a 25 ns gate speed. OQC's systems are accessible via AWS Braket and its own cloud platform, which is certified to ISO/IEC 27001:2022. OQC runs Quantum-AI data centers in NYC, London, and Tokyo that all deploy GENESIS processors alongside NVIDIA GH200 Grace Hopper GPUs, with Oxford Instruments NanoScience supplying cryogenic infrastructure. The NYC data center, at Digital Realty JFK10, became operational in September 2025. OQC joined the NVIDIA NVQLink program, connecting its quantum hardware to NVIDIA GPUs for real-time hybrid workflows, and it co-founded the Quantum Datacenter Alliance with Cisco, NTT DATA, Nu Quantum, QphoX, Quantinuum, and QuEra. OQC also collaborates with QinetiQ on military communications analysis. In June 2025, OQC published a roadmap targeting 200 logical qubits by 2028 and 50,000 logical qubits by 2034, at a 10:1 physical-to-logical ratio. In February 2026, OQC unveiled a 500+ qubit wafer-scale packaging architecture and published a preprint demonstrating wafer-scale packaging with more than 500 superconducting qubits on a 3-inch die, with a median T1 of 97 microseconds. Update 2025-10-04: Oxford Quantum Circuits became the first quantum computing company to achieve ISO 27001 certification for information security.
