Its proprietary Sparrow Core photonic chip generates deterministic single photons for scalable, room-temperature photonic quantum systems, with industry-leading brightness and indistinguishability that support quantum networking, computing, and sensing. In November 2025, Sparrow launched Sparrow Nest, a plug-and-play single-photon system for easy lab integration aimed at quantum computing, secure communications, and research customers. In December 2025, the company selected Veeco's GENxcel R&D MBE system to develop high-performance quantum dot single-photon emitters and advance Sparrow Core photonic chip production. In April 2025, Novo Holdings, the investment arm of the Novo Nordisk Foundation, made its first direct quantum investment with €22M in Sparrow Quantum. In November 2025, Sparrow raised a €27.5 million ($32 million) Series A, the largest quantum funding round in the Nordics, to accelerate global expansion and scale photonic chip production. Investors include NVIDIA and leading European VCs.
