About
Riverlane is a UK quantum error correction company building Deltaflow, a real-time quantum error correction system that serves as a hardware-agnostic QEC layer. Based in Cambridge, UK, the company has raised more than $120M and partners with over 60% of quantum computing companies worldwide. In 2025 it opened a European hub in Delft, led by Professor Barbara Terhal. Deltaflow 2 is deployed at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, while Deltaflow 3, which adds streaming logic, and Deltaflow Mega, for fully error-corrected applications, are planned for 2026. The company targets a MegaQuOp-scale QEC stack prototype by the end of 2026. In April 2026, Riverlane demonstrated quantum error correction latency improvements 10 times faster than Google. In September 2025, Riverlane installed Deltaflow 2 OS at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, connected to the Frontier supercomputer, the first dedicated real-time QEC system at a US national lab and the first quantum error correction system integrated with a world-class HPC supercomputer. In July 2025, Riverlane achieved the UK's first commercial QEC deployment at the CentreSquare data centre, co-located with OQC hardware as part of the UK DECIDE project, alongside partners Qblox, Infleqtion, and Rigetti. In 2025, Riverlane raised a $75M Series C led by Planet First Partners, with Cambridge Innovation Capital, Amadeus Capital Partners, the UK National Security Strategic Investment Fund, and Altair.
