About
ProteinQure uses quantum molecular simulations and AI to accelerate drug discovery and development. Its quantum-enhanced computational methods model the complex molecular interactions and protein dynamics that are difficult for classical computers, enabling more accurate predictions of drug efficacy and safety. In May 2025, ProteinQure raised $11 million in Series A funding led by Felicis Ventures, with participation from Kensington Capital Partners and Golden Ventures, bringing total funding to $15 million. The company combines quantum-enhanced molecular simulations with classical machine learning to design peptide drug candidates, using D-Wave Advantage hardware. In September 2025, ProteinQure dosed the first patient in a Phase 1 trial of PQ203, an AI-designed peptide-drug conjugate for triple-negative breast cancer, at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre in Toronto.
