Creative Destruction Lab (CDL) is a nonprofit organization founded in 2012 at the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management. It runs a seed-stage accelerator program for science-based and technology startups. CDL launched a dedicated quantum machine learning stream in 2018, becoming one of the first accelerators focused on quantum technology startups. The CDL Quantum stream provides mentorship, funding, and network access to quantum computing startups, quantum software companies, and quantum technology entrepreneurs, connecting founders with quantum researchers, industry experts, and investors. CDL has accelerated numerous quantum startups, supporting Canadian quantum leadership and the commercialization of quantum technology. In 2025, CDL continued active investment in quantum technology companies. Its portfolio companies have shown progress in technology development and commercialization, with a focus on supporting quantum startups through funding and strategic guidance.
