Silicon Quantum Computing has appointed semiconductor industry veteran John Hollister as Chief Financial Officer as the Australian quantum computing company advances its roadmap toward commercial-scale systems.Hollister, who is based in the U.S., assumed the role effective August 17 and will oversee SQC’s global financial strategy and operations.He brings more than 25 years of semiconductor financial leadership and previously served as CFO of GlobalFoundries.Earlier, Hollister spent two decades at Silicon Labs, including 11 years as CFO, and also held positions at Cicada Semiconductor and Cirrus Logic.His experience spans capital formation, financial planning and analysis, accounting, reporting, M&A, tax and investor relations.The appointment strengthens SQC’s leadership team as it moves toward commercialization of quantum computing technology built around atomic-precision manufacturing.SQC says its technology allows it to manufacture silicon chips with atomic precision and operate in-house quantum processing unit manufacturing.
