Job Description The WACQT Research Arena – Quantum Computing (WARA‑QC) is seeking a Senior Quantum Computing Application Engineer to spearhead industry collaboration projects and bring quantum computing out of the lab and into real‑world applications. In this role, you will lead interactions with industry partners through joint projects and work on relevant problems in close collaboration with subject‑matter experts. You will be involved in the entire development chain—from problem identification to delivering learning outcomes. These projects aim to lower the barriers for Swedish industry to engage with quantum technologies and **accelerate the development of real‑world quantum computing applications. Your Responsibilities - Project management: Shape and lead projects together with stakeholders from industry. - Assessing opportunities: Evaluate where and how quantum computing can provide value and determine project suitability for quantum approaches. - Project formulation: Define project goals, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with partners. - Problem transformation: Convert industrial problems into quantum‑amenable forms. - Algorithm development: Design, implement, and execute quantum algorithms on world‑leading hardware and simulators. - Performance evaluation: Conduct classical high‑performance computing benchmarks to validate quantum solutions. - Communication: Report results to both expert and non‑expert stakeholders. - Mentoring: Guide and lead junior staff members.
