SEALSQ’s $200 million initiative enters the second phase of deployment, signaling a sustained, multi-stage financial commitment to quantum technology development. The Stack interconnects a growing number of partners and portfolio companies, aiming to create a fully integrated quantum ecosystem. The company’s strategy centers on an architecture linking layers from secure semiconductors to orbital infrastructure, and is designed to be interoperable; portfolio companies like EeroQ and Quobly are being integrated into this framework, each contributing a unique technological layer. At the foundation of this Stack is SEALSQ’s secure-semiconductor and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) base, developed in collaboration with GlobalFoundries under a strategic Memorandum of Understanding covering secure semiconductor platforms and post-quantum cryptography. This partnership provides a trusted, high-volume manufacturing base for the entire system. Quobly’s silicon spin-qubit architecture and EeroQ’s electrons-on-helium (eHe) architecture both utilize CMOS-compatible fabrication, allowing them to leverage the same secure manufacturing base developed with GlobalFoundries. This dual-processor approach provides SEALSQ with two complementary, industrially scalable paths to quantum hardware, all secured by a common layer of certified semiconductors and post-quantum cryptography. The Stack’s design extends beyond hardware, incorporating ColibriTD’s quantum-as-a-service layer and IC’ALPS’ ASIC design capabilities to create deployable products. WISeSat. Space and the planned Quantum Spatial Orbital Cloud (QSOC) aim to extend this secure foundation into orbit, while Wecan Group and Quantix Edge Security provide quantum-resilient identity and cybersecurity services to end users.
