Quantinuum’s most accurate quantum computer joins Oracle Cloud

Quantinuum’s Helios, the most accurate commercial quantum computer available, will soon be accessible as a service within a US-based Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) AI data center. This deployment marks a multi-year strategic partnership between Quantinuum (NASDAQ: QNT) and Oracle, designed to enable hybrid quantum-AI workloads for applications ranging from drug discovery to financial modeling. “We believe the next phase of enterprise computing will be shaped by bringing quantum, AI, and high-performance computing together,” said Dr. Rajeeb Hazra, President and CEO of Quantinuum. The collaboration intends to broaden access to quantum computing for both research institutions and enterprises seeking to address computationally intensive challenges.
Helios Quantum Computer Deployed Within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure This deployment signifies a concrete step toward integrating high-performance quantum computation with existing cloud-based artificial intelligence and high-performance computing resources, targeting applications across multiple scientific and industrial fields. Helios, commercially launched in November 2025, achieves an average two-qubit gate fidelity of 99.921 percent, surpassing the commonly referenced “three 9s” benchmark for quantum accuracy. The strategic partnership between Quantinuum and Oracle is structured as a multi-year agreement, demonstrating a long-term commitment to the development and accessibility of quantum technologies. This collaboration is designed to simplify the operation of advanced hardware and accelerate the transition from theoretical concepts to practical execution, particularly for researchers focused on innovation. Johannes Blaschke, Head of Scientific Computing at Ellison Institute of Technology, explained that quantum processing units promise to unlock new insights because they are different from the hardware currently in use. Having both graphics processing units and quantum processing units available within OCI would provide an all-in-one platform, simplify the operation of novel hardware, and help researchers move quickly from concept to execution by allowing them to focus on innovation. This integration could herald a new phase for their work. The integration of Helios within OCI’s infrastructure is anticipated to allow seamless compatibility with existing OCI compute, networking, storage, identity, and data services, all operating under established governance and access controls. Beyond simply providing access to quantum hardware, the collaboration focuses on enabling hybrid quantum-AI workloads. Quantinuum and Oracle are specifically targeting applications in areas like drug discovery, materials science, financial modeling, and large-scale optimization, where the combination of quantum and classical computing resources can offer significant advantages. This service is expected to integrate Quantinuum’s development stack with support for open-source hybrid-programming frameworks, facilitating the construction, testing, and refinement of quantum-classical applications.
