Qoro and Hartree Centre link quantum software to UK supercomputers

Qoro’s Divi library now generates and routes high-performance computing jobs directly into the STFC Hartree Centre’s scheduler through the Quantum Resource Management Interface, or QRMI. This integration, detailed in a recent publication on arXiv, establishes an application-aware function for quantum acceleration of existing HPC codes. The collaboration between Qoro and the Hartree Centre aims to demonstrate practical quantum computing value to end users; Kate Royse, Director of the STFC Hartree Centre, stated that the Hartree Centre is focused on getting the most from emerging computing technologies by applying them to UK industry and public sector challenges. Qoro’s Maestro simulation engine joins IBM and Pasqal as an execution backend available through the QRMI interface.
Qoro Software Integrates with Hartree Centre’s QRMI for Hybrid Workflows This integration bypasses theoretical demonstrations, focusing instead on practical application within existing workflows. The project specifically targets a scientific challenge in electronic structure theory and quantum chemistry, aiming to showcase the tangible benefits of quantum computing for end-users. The collaboration intends to produce documented workflows serving as a reference for quantum computing researchers throughout the United Kingdom, potentially extending to industry pilots in sectors including energy and finance if initial results prove promising.
