Pasqal Holding SA reported €3.9 million in quantum processing unit-related services revenue for the first half of 2026, a 34 percent increase year-over-year that significantly outpaced the company’s overall 14 percent revenue growth. The neutral-atom quantum computing firm, listed on Nasdaq as PSQL, saw total revenue reach €4.9 million during the period ending June 30, 2026. “During the first half of 2026, we continued to deepen our engagement with our customers of choice,” said Chief Executive Officer Dr. Wasiq Bokhari, citing expanding relationships with organizations like NVIDIA, Google, and Crédit Agricole. QPU Services Drive 34% Revenue Growth in First Half 2026 Pasqal’s quantum processing unit-related services revenue reached €3.9 million. This surge in services revenue demonstrates a shift from research-focused engagements to practical applications, as customers increasingly use Pasqal’s systems for real-world problem solving, the company says. The company’s ability to monetize access to its quantum hardware is a key indicator of its progress toward commercial viability in a nascent industry. A substantial portion of Pasqal’s reported operating loss of €59.2 million stemmed from factors beyond core operational spending, with €37.5 million attributed to share-based payments and one-time charges related to becoming a publicly traded company. Of that €37.5 million, €27.3 million was allocated to share-based payment charges during the first half of 2026, a considerable increase from the €1.0 million recorded during the same period in 2025. These expenses, while impacting the bottom line for this reporting period, reflect the costs associated with transitioning to a public entity and incentivizing key personnel. €10.2 million in one-time transaction-related expenses were incurred during the completion of the business combination and subsequent listing process, further illustrating the financial implications of entering the Nasdaq exchange. Wasiq Bokhari, Chief Executive Officer of Pasqal, explained that these collaborations are not merely exploratory; they are driving the development of quantum solutions tailored to specific industry needs, validating the potential of quantum computing as a practical tool for creating measurable value, according to the company. The company’s recent integration with NVIDIA CUDA-Q, for example, simplifies the deployment of quantum workloads within existing high-performance computing infrastructure, lowering the barrier to entry for potential users. The company’s technological advancements are also bolstering its commercial prospects. Pasqal has demonstrated the ability to prepare defect-free registers of 1,024 atoms, doubling its previous record of 506 atoms, and extended atom lifetimes approximately 40-fold through a redesigned cryogenic platform. Scaling qubit registers is important for tackling increasingly complex computational problems. Pasqal executed a full machine-learning application for solving differential equations using logical qubits, with the logical implementation outperforming its physical-qubit counterparts, a result the company believes to be a first for a full application rather than isolated sub-routines, the firm reports. Founded in 2019 and headquartered in Palaiseau, France, Pasqal builds neutral-atom quantum computers and offers both cloud and on-premises access to them, with systems currently deployed in France, Italy, Saudi Arabia, and Canada. This deployment strategy allows the company to serve a diverse range of customers and expand its geographic reach. The company’s capital-efficient business model, using a scalable neutral-atom platform deployable in conventional data centers, is a key differentiator, Pasqal reports. “Importantly, Pasqal’s capital-efficient business model enables us to pursue these technology and commercial objectives without the significant infrastructure investments required by many alternative quantum architectures,” Bokhari explained. “By using a highly scalable neutral-atom platform that can be deployed in conventional data center environments, we are able to bring quantum solutions to customers more quickly, lower total cost of ownership, and accelerate the transition from research programs to production applications.” Pasqal’s recent launch of Saudi Arabia’s first quantum computer and the Middle East’s first commercial quantum computing as a service platform underscores its commitment to expanding access to quantum technology globally. During the first half of 2026, we continued to deepen our engagement with our customers of choice across financial services, energy and advanced materials to solve high-value business problems and integrate quantum computing into real-world workflows.
