Pasqal and LG Electronics Forge Strategic Partnership Underpinned by Equity Investment

Pasqal, a neutral atom quantum computing company, and LG Electronics have announced a strategic partnership under which LG Electronics will take an equity investment in Pasqal. The collaboration is intended to advance quantum computing toward industrial applications and accelerate the industrialization of quantum hardware. The partnership focuses on two key areas of joint R&D: quantum algorithms and core hardware technologies. The companies will co-develop quantum algorithms to address LG’s industrial challenges, including multiphysics simulation, optimization, and material discovery. Concurrently, they will jointly explore collaboration opportunities in enabling technologies for neutral atom quantum computing infrastructure, such as optical and electronic components and modules. Pasqal’s neutral atom quantum computers use individual atoms trapped by laser light and operate at room temperature. This collaboration is expected to accelerate product development and strengthen the global supply chain for critical quantum technologies.
