Daniels, Jr., President of Purdue University, personally signed a Memorandum of Understanding, signaling a commitment to U.S.-Japan technological collaboration that extends beyond standard agreements. The partnership will specifically target semiconductors, quantum technologies, artificial intelligence, advanced manufacturing and life sciences, aiming to connect innovation ecosystems in both countries. The MOU was celebrated during the 10th Annual U.S. and Japan Digital Innovation Hub & Advanced Technology Workshop held at Purdue University from September 7-9, 2026.
