McKesson CFO Britt Vitalone announced his retirement during the Barclays Global Healthcare Conference, effective in months. The news prompted a notable stock reaction, signaling his perceived value to investors and the company. Vitalone confirmed his departure is unrelated to operational changes, with no adjustments to McKesson’s financial guidance. Analysts quickly clarified this to avoid market speculation about underlying corporate shifts. The conference highlighted Vitalone’s long-standing role as a key financial leader, with colleagues and analysts expressing regret over his exit while acknowledging his contributions to McKesson’s growth. His retirement plans include relocating to Sarasota, Florida, where he intends to focus on personal interests like golf, marking a transition from his decades-long corporate career. The session briefly addressed succession plans, though no successor was named, leaving future leadership questions unanswered for now.

Good afternoon, everyone. Thank you for joining us here. For those of you who don't know me, I'm Glen Santangelo. I'm the analyst at Barclays that covers the drug wholesaling group. And for our next presentation, we're very excited to have McKesson here with us today. And to my right is a very special guy, Britt Vitalone, who I think most of you know is the Chief Financial Officer of the company, but only for a couple of more months. We got some very sad news that Britt has -- well, happy news for him, sad news for us that Britt has decided to retire, but he'll be around for a couple of months. And let me just say thanks for everything, and we're obviously very sorry to see you go. And if it's any indication, you saw the way the stock reacted the day that press release came out. So that should give you some indication of how valuable people thought of you at the company. So we wish you nothing but the best in retirement in Sarasota, right? And your golf game. So best of luck to you. Question-and-Answer Session Glen SantangeloBarclays Bank PLC, Research Division So I think right off the bat, it's kind of important to say there's nothing behind your retirement or anything like that. There's no change to the guidance or anything like that. So we could just move on from that retirement conversation and let you retire in peace. Is that fair? Britt VitaloneExecutive
