Iluka Resources reported Q4 2025 results in February 2026, reiterating prior guidance with minimal updates since its January pre-report. CEO Tom O’Leary emphasized awaiting post-Chinese New Year market clarity for zircon and titanium dioxide feedstock demand. Zircon sales for Q1 2026 reached 41,000 tonnes of sand and 11,000 tonnes in concentrate, reflecting incremental contract progress amid stable industry conditions. No major shifts were announced in production or pricing strategies. Key industry factors—Rio Tinto’s titanium feedstock review, global pigment capacity cuts, and Chinese antidumping duties—remain unchanged as drivers of market uncertainty. Iluka continues monitoring these for operational adjustments. Executives highlighted North America’s coating season as a critical demand indicator for titanium feedstocks, with outcomes expected to shape 2026 pricing and supply decisions. The call focused on analyst questions, with no new strategic initiatives unveiled. Leadership reaffirmed cautious optimism pending macroeconomic and sector-specific developments.

In Mineral Sands, we expect to have greater clarity around the market outlook post Chinese New Year for zircon and the head of the North American coating season for titanium dioxide feedstocks. Since we last spoke, we've maintained prior and locked in some additional contracted zircon sales, which for the first quarter, now stand at 41,000 tonnes of sand and 11,000 tonnes of zircon in concentrate.
