Cognex reported Q4 2025 earnings beating expectations, with EPS of $0.27 (exceeding estimates by $0.05) and revenue of $252.34M (up 9.86% YoY), signaling recovery after a prolonged downturn. CFO Dennis Fehr noted a three-year industry slump (2022–2024) but highlighted early 2026 demand stabilization, citing gradual recovery in industrial automation and logistics sectors. Investor sentiment remains positive, with conference attendees majority-owning the stock and expressing bullish long-term EPS growth expectations compared to peers. Fehr emphasized Cognex’s resilience in core markets, attributing gains to AI-driven vision systems and factory automation adoption amid post-pandemic supply chain restructuring. Analysts probed near-term demand trends, with Fehr cautiously optimistic about Q1 2026, though macroeconomic uncertainties persist in key industrial segments.

So last peak of the cycle was in 2021. '22 flattish, '23 very down, '24 flat again. So almost like 3 years of down cycle, which is almost unknown for that type of industry. And really
