Absci is leveraging generative AI to design antibody-based therapeutics, transitioning from in silico models to clinical-stage molecules after five years of development. The company’s lead program, ABS-201, is an AI-designed antibody targeting the prolactin receptor, currently in Phase I/IIa trials for androgenetic alopecia, showcasing strong developability and half-life. Absci employs a "lab-in-the-loop" approach, combining AI with wet-lab validation to refine its models, accelerating therapeutic discovery beyond traditional computational methods. CFO Zachariah Jonasson highlighted the shift from tool development to clinical execution, marking a pivotal stage in Absci’s pipeline advancement and commercial potential. The discussion occurred at the 2026 KeyBanc Healthcare Virtual Forum, where executives emphasized AI’s role in transforming antibody design and clinical translation.

My name is Scott Schoenhaus. I'm the health care tech analyst here at KeyBanc. Happy to have Absci join us for our fireside chat. We have Zach Jonasson, CFO; and Alex Kahn, VP of Investor Relations. Thank you both for joining. Question-and-Answer Session Scott SchoenhausKeyBanc Capital Markets Inc., Research Division I guess Zach and Alex, I'll pass the floor to you. Maybe give a brief high-level high-level background on Absci for anyone that's new to our fireside chat. Zachariah JonassonChief Business Officer & CFO Sure. And first off, thanks for having us, Scott. We really appreciate it. I appreciate the opportunity to have the discussion. Zach Jonasson, I'm the CFO. I guess a quick high level on Absci. We're using generative AI to design antibody-based therapeutics. And we've been focused on this problem for the past 4 to 5 years, leveraging a lot of our own sort of lab-in-the-loop process to advance our model development. And I think what's really exciting about where we are today is, we're not just designing molecules in silico. We're not just making kits. We're actually making molecules that we're advancing into the clinic. And so we have a lead program, our flagship program today. ABS-201 is an AI designed antibody targeting the prolactin receptor. We think it's got very good developability, very strong characteristics, good half-life and we are advancing that currently in a Phase I/IIa study in androgenetic
