With these new partnerships, the technology company is expanding its service portfolio with comprehensive capabilities in quantum hardware, specialised software, multi-hardware orchestration platforms and professional services. This expansion of the ecosystem of partners involved in these technologies reinforces Telefónica’s strategy in quantum technologies, which is based on three areas of focus: quantum computing, with partners such as IQM, with whom we have worked to deploy one of Spain’s first quantum computers; post-quantum security in collaboration with companies such as IBM; and quantum communications, with investments made in companies such as LuxQuanta through Wayra, Telefónica’s investment arm. The combination of technologies such as quantum computing and AI will enable customer problems to be solved more quickly and accurately, as it significantly reduces the time taken to arrive at an acceptable answer and finds more precise solutions from a vast array of possibilities.
