SandboxAQ Partners with Department of War CIO for Post-Quantum Migration and Cyber Defense SandboxAQ, a company delivering solutions at the intersection of AI and quantum techniques, has announced a five-year agreement with the Department of War (DoW) Chief Information Officer (CIO) to accelerate the discovery and inventory of cryptographic assets across the department’s environment. This effort is a foundational step in the DoW’s managed transition to Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) and supports overall cyber readiness against advanced threats. The DoW CIO will utilize SandboxAQ’s AQtive Guard platform for comprehensive, automated cryptographic discovery and inventory (ACDI). The platform provides continuous visibility into cryptographic assets, dependencies, and vulnerabilities, enabling the department to anticipate and counter emerging threats, including sophisticated AI-powered attacks and the looming risk of quantum computing rendering traditional cryptography unsafe. The deployment of AQtive Guard within the DoW follows a successful demonstration of SandboxAQ’s capabilities in quantum-resistant cryptography during an earlier prototype project with the Defense Information Systems Agency’s (DISA) QRC PKI program. The current agreement is expected to pave the way for other DoW agencies to implement the platform, establishing a department-wide foundational understanding of their cryptographic footprint.
