Quantum Design Oxford Expands Partnership with BRIN-Q Research Center

Quantum Design Oxford has delivered its first TeslatronPT Plus low temperature measurement system to the BRIN-Q Research Center for Quantum Physics in Indonesia, a development expected to accelerate experimental quantum research within the nation. The company stated that a key factor in the decision was the system’s reliable superconducting magnet design and fast startup measurement capabilities, coupled with open-source instrument integration. “The TeslatronPT Plus was developed directly in response to customer feedback as researchers increasingly look for a truly flexible, all-in-one solution that enables them to focus more on their work,” said Matthew Martin, Managing Director of Quantum Design Oxford, highlighting the company’s commitment to researcher needs. BRIN-Q Research Center Selects TeslatronPT Plus for Quantum Device Development The TeslatronPT Plus, manufactured by Quantum Design Oxford, provides a complete, integrated solution for low-temperature measurement, encompassing temperature and magnetic field control, automated data acquisition, and flexible software integration.
Quantum Design Oxford’s established expertise in reliable superconducting magnet systems, combined with the system’s quick startup and compatibility with the QCoDeS open-source instrument integration platform, was also crucial to the BRIN-Q decision. Dr.
Mohammad Hamzah Fauzi, Head of the BRIN Research Center for Quantum Physics, brings over ten years of experience in quantum transport to the project and expressed confidence in the platform. “Having worked in quantum transport for over a decade and having used various systems from Quantum Design and Oxford Instruments NanoScience [now Quantum Design Oxford], I am familiar with the performance of their platforms,” said Dr. Fauzi, adding that the new system will accelerate experimental quantum research in Indonesia and nurture the next generation of quantum talent. The increasing complexity of quantum experiments is driving demand for adaptable measurement systems, shifting away from proprietary, closed-off approaches toward open-architecture platforms. This integration allows researchers to utilize pre-coded measurement routines for rapid experimentation and seamlessly incorporate custom-built instruments and analysis tools, fostering a highly flexible workflow.
