Announced on August 3, 2026, the agreement enables Qanapi to operate Reaper inside its own FedRAMP Class D (High) baseline cloud environment aligned to DoD Impact Level 4 requirements, while Assail integrates Qanapi’s Karst platform and FIPS 140-3 validated modules to harden its systems against quantum cryptographic threats.Under the contract, Reaper will conduct continuous, autonomous red teaming across Qanapi’s infrastructure. All findings and AI-generated threat intelligence remain inside Qanapi’s authorization boundary. The platform will automate Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) assessments, draft and submit Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) to its Third Party Assessment Organization (3PAO) for FedRAMP compliance, retest assets to validate true and false positives against Security Assessment Reports (SARs), and generate patches for Qanapi’s team to review and apply.Assail states it is the only autonomous offensive security platform allowing customers to deploy the entire Ares or Reaper platform, including the underlying AI models, on premises, in private or public clouds, isolated networks, or on Assail’s SaaS platform. Customers determine where the platform runs and where data resides, preserving complete AI and data sovereignty. For defense, intelligence, and regulated enterprise customers, Assail treats this capability as a requirement.
