U.S. wheat futures rose midday Wednesday, with Chicago SRW up 2-3 cents, KC HRW gaining 4-5 cents, and Minneapolis spring wheat climbing 5-6 cents in nearby contracts. South Korea and Taiwan boosted demand overnight, purchasing 32,000 MT and 105,020 MT of U.S. wheat, respectively, signaling strong international buyer interest. French soft wheat stocks hit 3.39 MMT, a 340,000 MT increase from prior estimates, per FranceAgrimer, reflecting growing European supply pressures. Weather forecasts show drier conditions for the Southern Plains over seven days, while the eastern U.S. and SRW regions expect wetter patterns, potentially impacting planting. May 2026 contracts showed mixed trends: CBOT wheat rose 2 cents to $5.93, KCBT gained 4.25 cents to $6.13, and MIAX increased 5.5 cents to $6.40.
