Soybean futures fell 2–4 cents on Monday, with nearby contracts leading declines. The national cash price dropped 3¼ cents to $10.69, while soy oil rose 47–61 points, offsetting weaker soymeal futures down $1–$2.50. USDA data showed soybean exports plunged 44.9% week-over-week to 669,865 MT, with China as the top buyer. Year-to-date exports are down 32.2% from 2024/25, signaling persistent demand weakness. Brazil’s soybean harvest reached just 30%, lagging last year’s 39% pace, per AgRural. Delays may tighten global supply but haven’t yet boosted prices amid tariff uncertainty. A US Supreme Court ruling blocked presidential tariff authority under IEEPA, prompting a proposed 10% blanket tariff (rising to 15%) under a 1974 Trade Act provision, expiring in 150 days. March 2026 soybeans settled at $11.34¼, down 3¼ cents, with deferred contracts showing slightly smaller losses, reflecting cautious near-term sentiment.
