Soybean futures fell sharply on March 24, 2026, with contracts dropping 2¾ to 8½ cents across all maturities, closing at $11.43–$11.71 per bushel. The national average cash price declined 1¾ cents to $10.78½, while soyoil futures rose slightly (15–45 points) on expectations of EPA’s upcoming Renewable Volume Obligation (RVO) announcement this week. EU soybean imports hit 8.92 million metric tons (MMT) since July 1—down 11% year-over-year—amid weaker demand, while Brazil’s March exports dipped to 15.87 MMT, a 0.45 MMT weekly decline. Crude oil gained just 26 cents despite late-session pressure, buoyed by reports of a potential one-month Middle East ceasefire, indirectly supporting commodity markets. Soymeal futures dropped $2.00–$4.20, contrasting with soyoil’s gains, as traders awaited EPA policy clarity and monitored global supply shifts.
