Photo: Amy Sussman/Getty ImagesShares in Swedish-headquartered retailer H&M fell as much as 7% on Thursday after the group said it expects to lose more profit to markdowns in the current quarter.“The cost of markdowns as a percentage of sales in the second quarter 2026 is expected to increase somewhat compared with the corresponding quarter the previous year,” the clothing company said as it presented its results for the fiscal first quarter ending Feb. 28.
