By Neil Patel – Mar 14, 2026 at 6:45AM ESTKey PointsFiscal 2026 is on track to be the fifth straight year that Peloton will report a revenue decline. This consumer discretionary stock’s dirt cheap valuation appears to be justified. Peloton Interactive (PTON 1.46%) was once on top of the world. Incredible demand pushed the shares to new heights. More than five years ago in January 2021, the company's market cap approached $50 billion. The fundamentals drastically weakened following the depths of the COVID-19 pandemic. And Peloton now trades 98% below its peak (as of March 11). Is the sell-off in this bike stock overblown? Image source: The Motley Fool. The market is correct to be so pessimistic toward this business. Peloton's management team expects the company to report revenue of $2.4 billion in fiscal 2026 (ending June 30, 2026). If this forecast is accurate, it will mark the fifth straight year that Peloton registered a year-over-year sales decline. Investors are rightfully punishing the business for a lack of growth. It reported positive free cash flow in the second quarter (ended Dec. 31, 2025). And its net debt has decreased. However, the company isn't giving investors any reason to believe that durable growth can be achieved in the future. Peloton recently introduced personalized coaching powered by artificial intelligence. And it overhauled its product lineup. These moves didn't support notable demand during the holiday shopping period. Shares trade at a dirt cheap price-to-sales ratio of under 0.7. That valuation appears to be warranted.Read NextMar 5, 2026 •By Neil Patel1 Reason I Haven't Bought Peloton -- and Probably Never WillMar 3, 2026 •By Eric VolkmanWhy Peloton Stock Plummeted by Over 28% Last MonthFeb 25, 2026 •By Neil PatelWhat to Know Before Buying Peloton Stock in 2026Feb 21, 2026 •By Neil PatelWall Street Erases $47 Billion From This Once Unstoppable CompanyFeb 17, 2026 •By Travis HoiumDown 97%, Here's What Peloton Should Do NextFeb 12, 2026 •By Neil PatelWhere Will Peloton Stock Be in 5 Years?About the AuthorNeil Patel is a contributing Motley Fool stock market analyst covering consumer staples, consumer discretionary, financials, information technology, and communication services.
