New Earth Resources Corp. announced it will use integrated high-resolution airborne magnetic and radiometric geophysical data to identify priority zones for rare earth element (REE) exploration at its Red Wine project in Labrador. The 1,575-hectare Red Wine project, located in Newfoundland and Labrador’s Central Mineral Belt, targets peralkaline volcanic and plutonic rocks known for REE potential, building on historic discoveries from the 1970s. CEO Lawrence Hay stated the combined datasets will pinpoint structurally controlled REE-enriched corridors, optimizing exploration by ranking high-potential targets more accurately. The project sits within the Red Wine Intrusive Suite, linked to past REE, niobium, and zirconium discoveries, including the Two Tom and North Red Wine deposits. Technical validation was provided by independent qualified person Babak V. Azar, P.Geo., under National Instrument 43-101 standards.

These formations have a high potential to host REE mineralization and have been the target for REE, zirconium, niobium, and yttrium exploration programs carried out over past decades dating back to the 1970s.The Property sits within the broader Red Wine Intrusive Suite, including peralkaline granites and syenites as a part of the North and South Red Wine Plutons, with a documented history of REE-bearing minerals. Historic programs have revealed multiple discoveries for REE and associated commodities in the district—including Two Tom (Nb, Be, REE), North Red Wine (U, Zr), Partridge River (Th), and Mann (Nb, Zr, Th)—that are geologically correlated with Playfair discoveries within the Red Wine Property.Figure 2 – Red Wine Property and Surrounding Mineral Occurrences Illustrated with Geological FeaturesPlease click to view imageQualified personThe technical content of this news release has been reviewed and approved by Mr. Babak V.
