About
Sygaldry Technologies is a quantum-accelerated AI startup, founded in May 2025 by Chad Rigetti (founder of Rigetti Computing), Idalia Friedson (former CSO at Strangeworks and founder of the Hudson Institute's first quantum policy center), and AI researcher Michael Keiser. The company, part of Y Combinator 2025, builds hybrid AI servers that combine multiple complementary qubit modalities within a fault-tolerant architecture to speed up AI model training and inference at a fraction of the cost and energy of traditional GPU infrastructure. By drawing on the different strengths and weaknesses of each qubit type, Sygaldry's approach opens a wider design space for utility-scale quantum computers. The company aims to address AI's energy and cost problem by delivering exponential speedups for training and inference across models ranging from large language models to diffusion networks. In 2025 and 2026, Sygaldry raised about $139M, comprising a $34M seed round led by Initialized Capital and a $105M Series A led by Breakthrough Energy Ventures.
