SEA Quantum is Malaysia's first dedicated quantum computing consultancy platform, founded in 2023 to help Southeast Asia navigate and grow in the emerging quantum era. Led by CEO and co-founder Dr. Choong Yeow Wei, the company operates from Wisma Laxton in Kuala Lumpur and was the first in Southeast Asia to explore quantum computing partnerships with major industry players. In May 2023, SEA Quantum acquired Malaysia's first quantum computer, the Diamond 1 Quantum Computer based on NV center technology, for RM 250,000. The company promotes quantum computing products and services, runs seminars and workshops to educate communities about quantum technology, and offers quantum computing certification courses. It currently trains international students and plans to expand programs for Malaysian students to reach younger generations.
