About
Quoherent is a quantum computing startup developing room-temperature quantum qubits using topological materials. Its approach, which it describes as a third-wave method, departs from the cryogenic requirements of conventional designs and aims to make mobile quantum computing possible. The company's mission is to deploy the world's first high-fidelity, scalable quantum processors on mobile platforms by using the properties of topological materials to build stable, scalable qubits that operate at room temperature. Quoherent was founded by Roberto DiSalvo (CEO), Alton Reich (COO), and David Carroll (CTO), and is the result of a decade-long research collaboration with the Wake Forest Center for Nanotechnology and Quantum Materials. It raised $4.7M in funding led by Morpheus Ventures, with participation from Draper Associates, Khosla Ventures, and Alpha Edison.
