About
Perceval is an open-source quantum photonic development toolkit from Quandela, offering a Python-based framework for simulating, designing, and experimenting with photonic quantum circuits and algorithms. Through a simple object-oriented Python API, it provides tools for composing circuits from linear optical components, defining single-photon sources, manipulating Fock states, running simulations, and testing new quantum algorithms. It interfaces with QPUs on the Quandela cloud, allowing computations on actual photonic computers. In 2024, EuroHPC JU selected the Quandela consortium for the EuroQCS-France initiative, providing remote access to a 12-qubit photonic quantum computer. Perceval has been published in the Quantum journal as an open-source platform for discrete-variable photonic quantum computers. A partnership with OVHcloud makes Perceval available for developers to run quantum algorithms by simulating optical processors on OVH Cloud.
