About
Matrix Opto, known in China as Shenzhen Matrix Optoelectronics Technology (深圳市矩阵光电技术有限公司), is a Shenzhen-based maker of fiber array units, the passive optical components that align and fix optical fibers with micron precision for high-density optical-module interconnection and optical-chip coupling. Its products target the 800G and 1.6T data-center optics and co-packaged optics markets. This is an optical-communications components supplier, not a quantum computing company. In July 2025 the listed laser-systems firm JPT (杰普特, Shanghai STAR Market ticker 688025) acquired a controlling stake, and by September 2025 its fiber-array products were shipping in volume to leading domestic optical-module makers. A figure of 29 million dollars circulated on a 2026 quantum-startup funding list, but that round could not be verified and the company's core business is data-center and telecom optics rather than quantum hardware. It is included here as a quantum-adjacent components supplier whose fiber-array technology can serve photonic and quantum-photonic systems.
