InnovationQuarter is the regional development agency for the Zuid-Holland province in the Netherlands, founded in 2005 and based in The Hague. It invests in innovative companies, including quantum technology and quantum security startups, and provides investment capital, business development support, and ecosystem connections to high-tech startups and scale-ups in the Zuid-Holland region, which is home to quantum technology clusters in Delft, Leiden, and Rotterdam. In May 2024, InnovationQuarter took part in Q*Bird's EUR 2.5 million funding round, supporting the Delft-based quantum key distribution company. The organization focuses on deep tech, including quantum technologies, photonics, life sciences, and cleantech, and it invests across quantum communications, quantum security, quantum sensing, and quantum computing companies commercializing research from Delft University of Technology and Leiden University. InnovationQuarter serves the Zuid-Holland quantum ecosystem by connecting startups with the QuTech research center, TNO, universities, and corporate partners. Its work supports Dutch quantum technology leadership by building innovation infrastructure and helping quantum startups grow in one of Europe's leading quantum technology regions.
