The Intelligence Advanced Research Projects Activity (IARPA) is the research and development arm of the US Office of the Director of National Intelligence, founded in 2006 and headquartered in College Park, Maryland. It funds high-risk, high-payoff quantum-computing research aimed at the US Intelligence Community's mission. Notable quantum programmes include LogiQ (logical-qubit error-correction benchmarks), QEO (Quantum-Enhanced Optimization), Quantum Computer Science (QCS), and the C4 programme on coherent superconducting circuits.
