About
Deutsche Telekom AG is a German telecommunications company founded in 1995 and headquartered in Bonn. Its Deutsche Telekom Innovation Laboratories (T-Labs) operates the Berlin Quantum Lab and runs one of Europe's leading carrier-side quantum-networking research programmes. In March 2025, T-Labs and Qunnect achieved a 17-day field demonstration of stable polarisation-entangled-photon distribution at 99% fidelity across 30 km of commercially deployed fibre with 1% downtime, presented at OFC 2025. In February 2026, T-Labs and Qunnect demonstrated quantum teleportation over a live Berlin commercial fibre network. T-Labs partners with TU Berlin, TU Dresden, TUM Munich, and Fraunhofer HHI. Deutsche Telekom is positioning entanglement distribution and QKD as foundations for future quantum-secure enterprise services.
