About
The Centre for Quantum Technologies (CQT) is a Research Centre of Excellence at the National University of Singapore, founded in 2007. It brings quantum physicists and computer scientists together to study quantum information science across the range from fundamental research to practical applications, with work spanning quantum communication, quantum computation, and quantum cryptography. CQT collaborates with industry partners that include telecommunications companies and government agencies, advancing quantum technology development across Singapore and the Asia-Pacific region. The centre has produced numerous quantum technology spinouts and maintains partnerships with global quantum institutions. Through fundamental research, education programs, and technology transfer, it works to position Singapore as a quantum technology hub in Asia. Update 2025-12-22: Christ University launched the Centre for Quantum Technologies and Complex Systems to foster research and education.
