APi Group executives discussed their "Inspection First" strategy at a March 2026 BofA conference, calling it core to their operational DNA. The approach began 10–15 years ago in a single branch before scaling company-wide. The strategy emerged from a local branch’s entrepreneurial effort to improve efficiency, creating a recurring revenue model. It later expanded through leadership transitions between operating companies. Executives emphasized how the model matured over a decade, driving sustainable growth by prioritizing inspections as a foundation for broader service offerings. APi’s playbook now serves as a standardized framework across divisions, blending organic innovation with cross-company knowledge sharing. The fireside chat highlighted the strategy’s role in long-term stability, with leaders noting its adaptability across diverse business units.
