Group webpage: https://sites.google.com/view/qitkaistphysics/ Research topics (include but are not limited to): Theoretical quantum computing Quantum error correction and fault tolerance in photonic / continuous-variable systems Photonic quantum advantage (e.g., boson sampling), Gaussian and non-Gaussian circuits, GKP codes, etc. Position details Term: 2 years + possible 1-year extension based on performance (2+1 years) Start date: sometime in 2026 (flexible and negotiable) Location: KAIST, Daejeon, Korea Salary: commensurate with experience and according to KAIST regulations Qualifications PhD in quantum information, quantum computing, quantum optics, theoretical physics, applied mathematics, computer science, or related fields (PhD to be completed before starting date) Background and/or strong interest in at least one of: photonic/CV quantum information, quantum error correction, complexity of quantum systems, classical simulation of quantum devices Ability to write and present research in English Application Please send a single PDF including: CV with publication list Brief research statement or summary of research interests (1–2 pages) Names and contact information of 2–3 referees Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled.
