“Build Something Quantum” Platform Cuts Chip Design Time by 90. Waitlist Now Open

Summarize this article with:

Conductor has developed the “Build Something Quantum” platform, a novel approach to chip design intended to reduce development timelines significantly. This platform utilizes a unique methodology to achieve a reported 90% reduction in chip design time. The system’s architecture and specific techniques are not detailed in the initial documentation, but the demonstrated impact suggests a substantial advancement in the field of quantum computing hardware development. This innovation promises to accelerate the creation of new quantum technologies by streamlining a historically lengthy and complex process. Co-Founder & CEO Brandon Severin has spent half a decade developing AI for quantum computing in silicon. He was previously a postdoctoral researcher at Oxford, where he published four papers in Nature journals, including work on high-fidelity hot-silicon-qubit architectures, and helped develop the first AI algorithms that automatically form a qubit in a semiconductor chip. Brandon holds an MEng in Materials Science and a PhD from Oxford. Co-Founder & CTO Joel Pendleton founded Conductor after leaving his PhD at Oxford on machine learning for scaling quantum computers. Previously, he built full-stack, machine-learning–based control software for superconducting qubits at QuantrolOx, following machine learning and research roles at Quantum Motion, C12, and the London Centre for Nanotechnology. Joel holds an MSc in Physics from University College London.

Founding Engineer Raymond Jow previously worked at SpaceX as a guidance, navigation, and control software engineer. His code flew on 100+ Falcon 9 missions across the full rocket lifecycle, from simulation to landing. Before that, Raymond conducted robotics research at NASA and quantum machine learning research at Cornell. Raymond holds a BS in Physics and Computer Science from Harvard. Our vision is to make quantum computing feel effortless, so the next era of discovery is limited only by what we dare to imagine. There is so much happening right now in the field of technology, whether AI or the march of robots. But Quantum occupies a special space. Quite literally a special space. A Hilbert space infact, haha! Here I try to provide some of the news that might be considered breaking news in the Quantum Computing space.
