⚡ Quantum Brief
An Indian ECE student with a minor in Quantum Technologies seeks career advice after completing their third year. They aim to pursue quantum computation and quantum machine learning, with a major project in QML planned. The student is open to studying abroad for a master’s but hesitant about taking the GATE exam. Corporate options in quantum are unclear to them, with IBM being the only known employer they feel unqualified for. They request guidance on choosing between academia or industry and potential opportunities in both fields.

Summarize this article with:

Hi everyone! I'm an ECE student in India with a minor degree in Quantum Technologies. I have just completed third year and after graduating want to continue studying quantum. I am highly interested in quantum computation (developing a protocol for the same) and quantum machine learning (will be doing my major project in QML). What do you guys suggest I do further? I am not opposed to go outside India to pursue my masters, though I am a bit sceptical about giving the GATE exam. I don't know anything about corporate in quantum except IBM which honestly I feel I don't have a lot of chances of getting into. Please drop some guidance as to whether I should go for masters first or corporate and some options for both. submitted by /u/Chance_Lawyer4983 [link] [comments]
