Now we have the actual audio, a prayer to Odin about a new predicament:“Of all the crowns, the kingdoms, the pride, I ask for none.Father, hear your son. I am not worthy of life, but still I beg you to let the thread lengthen. Not for thunder, not for war…let me remain long enough to see my love once more.”The idea is not that he thinks Jane Foster is going to come back to life, but almost certainly that he’s talking about his adopted daughter from Love and Thunder, Love, previously the son of Gorr the God Butcher. Love was actually played by Hemsworth’s real-life daughter, India Rose Hemsworth. Last we saw her, she was fighting baddies with her father, wielding his Stormbreaker axe/hammer. Now in the shot we have seen, Thor has it. So, his Love is lost, then.Chris Evans as Captain AmericaDisneyMORE FOR YOUBetween this, the other leaked Steve Rogers spot, and the post-credits scene of Fantastic Four, we seem to be building to a plot of Doctor Doom abducting superhero children. He’s clearly interested in Franklin Richards, who in the comics, becomes an extremely powerful being. They go out of their way to show Rogers with his infant. And now we know for sure that Thor’s adopted daughter is missing, although she’s much older than a baby.I’m wondering if it would be just these three children, given that Evans, Hemsworth and Pascal seem likely to be the core leads of the film, or if there are more. Honestly, not that many superheroes even have kids if you go through them. Scott Lang has Cassie Lang, but she’s a superhero in her own right now. Tony Stark had a daughter, Morgan. John Walker has a child. Past that, I’m drawing a blank here.It seems pretty clear that at this point, Disney needs to publicly release high-quality versions of these teaser trailers and give up the idea that they’re “theater only” when they’re leaking all over the place already. The Spider-Man: Brand New Day trailer? That’s a different story, as that leak showed that it was partially unfinished, so we may not see that for a while. All this said, Marvel has not responded to leaks in the past for things like the Thunderbolts or Daredevil Born Again trailers with a quick release thereafter. Maybe the idea is not to reward leakers or incentivize them to keep doing this with forced releases.Follow me on Twitter, Threads, YouTube, and Instagram.Pick up my sci-fi novels the Herokiller series and The Earthborn Trilogy.Editorial StandardsReprints & PermissionsLOADING VIDEO PLAYER...FORBES’ FEATURED Video
