This proprietary quantum networking layer is designed to interconnect individual quantum processors into a more powerful distributed quantum computer, which the company views as the necessary path to achieve fault tolerance and unlock the projected 1 trillion quantum computing market. The company’s approach is centered on creating entanglement links between qubits in adjacent processors via photonic quantum networking, addressing the single biggest technical challenge preventing the modular scaling of quantum systems beyond the roughly 100-qubit limit of single processors.

The Entanglement Fabric architecture is modular, interoperable, and adaptable to support scaling for multiple different qubit modalities, paralleling the role networking plays in classical Cloud, AI, and HPC data centers. Nu Quantum plans to use the funding to accelerate product development, building on the success of its earlier subsystems, the Qubit-Photon Interface (2024) and the Quantum Networking Unit (2025). The company will also continue its international expansion in Europe and the U.S., and foster ecosystem development through the Quantum Datacenter Alliance (QDA), which it founded to drive collaboration on distributed architectures and standardization.
