This article was written byMaxx Waring4 FollowersFollowI’m a value investor. I have studied the masters, Buffett and Munger for many years. I look for great businesses with durable advantages and disciplined management teams with a clear path to increase long-term shareholder value. The goal is to find great companies trading at a margin of safety, buy them, and sit on them while it compounds. I started investing in 2014 and have outperformed the S&P 500 by about 7% a year the last 6 years. I don’t invest in tickers that move up and down. I dig into companies, from every sector, and really look at the business. I read the financials, analyze the competitive advantage, and try to understand the fundamentals of the business. I build models to ground my work in the numbers, but I write all of my research so everyone can follow along.I actually have a background in teaching. Before finance I was in a high school classroom teaching math and coaching basketball. The classroom was a great experience that gave me valuable tools. It taught me patience and discipline, but most importantly, it taught me how to break down complex ideas. I have a B.S. in Mathematics, I also have an MBA from Western Governors University, and a Master’s of Finance from the University of Illinois Springfield. I also am the author of Investing in Stocks for Beginners which has sold over 1,500 copies. I am on Seeking Alpha to publish independent research. I want to help you think clearly, stay rational, and make better decisions with your money.Analyst’s Disclosure:I/we have a beneficial long position in the shares of EVVTY either through stock ownership, options, or other derivatives.
